AromaTech is pleased to announce a $500 scholarship program for a full-time undergraduate or graduate student. The company understands that many students struggle to afford their tuition and living expenses, as costs have risen dramatically over recent years. The scholarship is $500 and will be provided to the person who submits the best essay by the date specified.

About the Essay

The essay will be on the topic, “How Retailers Can Use the Right Scents to Encourage Purchasing.” This topic may appeal to a broad range of interests. Students with an interest in retailing, marketing, psychology, scent product design and many other subjects can have a rewarding experiencing researching and writing this essay.

Essays are judged on creativity, the value of the information and the writing style. Applicants should make sure their submissions are well-written and grammatically correct. If scientific research results are included, they should be cited.

Aromatech encourages this kind of scholarship application because excellent writing skills are essential in so many careers.

This essay should be between 800 and 1,000 words.

Examples that the applicant has noted in his or her own personal life can be mentioned, but they should be written in second or third person. For example, many people will be able to notice the use of scent by various retailers once they start paying attention, if they haven’t already done so.

The applicant should stay on topic and not veer off into information that is irrelevant or only marginally related.

How to Apply

Essays must be submitted by December 31, 2021. The winner will be announced on the website by January 15, 2022 and notified by email.

Include your full name, the name of your school, and your phone number and email address.

Important Information

Students must be enrolled in a full-time college or university as a freshman, sophomore or junior. Full-time candidates for masters degrees also are encouraged to apply.

Plagiarism is not tolerated and disqualifies applicants.

The winning essay may be published by AromaTech and used on the website. Other essays remain the property of the applicants.

Eligibility Criteria

Students applying for this scholarship must have been accepted into or be currently attending an accredited college, university, or technical college. Students of all years, from rising Freshmen to those seeking Master's degrees, should feel encouraged to apply.

Be forewarned that the winner of this scholarship will be required to provide proof of his or her high school diploma and acceptance into an accredited school. If the winner of the scholarship fails to reply with the relevant information requested, he or she will forfeit the scholarship and we will select a new winner.
